Marijana

President of PWN

She is a curious optimist human constantly seeking new ideas and exploring the world. Opinionated and a bit stubborn. Goal oriented hard worker but also dedicated to spending time with her family and friends eating great food and travelling around. She runs her own law office at the moment working with SME and start-ups supporting them from initial stage to the moment they scale up. She finished EMBA on Cotrugli Business School in 2014 and is a member of MBA Croata and an active mentor in AlgebraLab for more than 5 years now. A tech enthusiast with a passion for volunteering. She is a member of POZA association of young professionals who volunteer their time on weekends to support different causes.

Her favourite toys when she was a kid were books. Today, the one thing she would whisper to that child would be: “It takes time.” After graduation she thought she would immediately have a career from movies. In the meantime, she learned that the path does not have to be straightforward and crossroads are welcome. Even more welcome is focus, persistence and perseverance to help lead the way.

Her ideal board would consist of our PWN Zagreb members, great individuals who push themselves and others in the team outside their comfort zone. Her ideal dinner would include her husband and close friends with a view of St. Jacob cathedral from Pelegrini restaurant. If you came to her for a surprise visit, you would find cheese, butter and milk in her refrigerator. Red wine probably also.

PWN came as an internal drive to change the way we live and work. Raising awareness on these topics is in a way her personal agenda for these and generations to come. The only way to lead your life is to be behind the steering wheel and accountable for whatever we do. So she is doing her best to change her world for the better.
